Philipp Hartmann is a German national who decided to call Cape Town his home nearly 20 years ago. He lives in a small surfing community and runs two media businesses, Golden Smile Dark Heart, a digital creative agency and the factory, a digital Performance Production company for online banner productions at scale both in Switzerland and in South Africa. He is a board member of Entrepreneurs Organization for Cape Town, founding member of various Start-Ups, one of the first guest houses in the Maldives, big wave surfer and organic farmer who loves bees. In EO he champions the myEO group DadsOfEO.
A personal project close to Philipp’s heart is his podcast for Dads. His mission is to empower men in their vital role as fathers. The vision, and long-term goal, is to make the world a better place by facilitating family success.
Philipp created the project to spearhead a global change in the narrative around fatherhood. At the age of 39, Philipp became a father to five children under the age of two in just thirteen months. Philipp knew that business success came from consulting mentors, collaborating and research. He applied this tactic in his quest to becoming a dad and was disappointed by the content available on fatherhood in the media. The narrative he encountered was fundamentally flawed, presenting fathers either as the family jester or as the never-present corporate breadwinner.
There was little to no information on how the greats were achieving excellence in fatherhood, including insights from top-tier business men, athletes, artists, global thought leaders and unique everyday-dads.
